John Cena portrays the series' main character, Christopher Smith - who, despite debuting in the DCEU, has become one of the few characters that has survived the move into the new DCU continuity.
This DCU debut will begin with Peacemaker season 2, which John Cena has stated in an interview with The Direct he hopes will be released in 2025. This lends credence to the expectation that Peacemaker season 2 will follow the events of Superman, which is slated for release in July 2025.
