Carl Radke And Lindsay Hubbard’s Lives Look A Lot Different Now That They’ve Moved On (And It’s Way Better)

There was a time when Summer House’s Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard were a part of Bravo’s royal couples. According to People, the longtime friends decided to give romance a shot in 2021, leading to a quick engagement, wedding planning, and a lot of drama with friends. However, the loved-up couple soon realized they weren’t right for each other and broke up dramatically. Now, the two have moved on in different ways (and it has the internet talking).

Often, it can take a while for a former couple to move on and find happiness — especially after a broken engagement — but that’s not the case for Lindsay and Carl. Their lives only got better when their relationship ended.

Carl Radke And Lindsay Hubbard Moved On In Better Ways

In September 2023, Carl Radke shocked everyone when he broke up with Lindsay Hubbard and called off their engagement in front of Summer House’s production crew. Lindsay was heartbroken, but Carl was firm in his decision. The two were ultimately on different paths and had other ideas of what they wanted in a partner.

The two went head-to-head at the Season 8 reunion, proving Carl did the right thing in calling off the engagement. Since their breakup, they have both moved on to bigger and better things.

Carl and Lindsay dated for a brief time in 2019 before giving their romance another chance two years later.

Lindsay Found Love Again

According to US Weekly, a few months after her relationship with Carl, Lindsay found love again with another former flame. The two dated briefly in 2020, but he called it quits when he felt they were on different paths. In January 2024, they reconnected and gave their relationship another try. Lindsay tried to keep his identity a secret because he was a private person with no intentions of being on TV, but Bravo fans soon uncovered she was dating Tuner Kufe.

Carl Finally Found His Business Idea

According to Bravo TV, one of Lindsay and Carl’s biggest arguments in their relationship was that Carl wasn’t sure what he wanted to do with his career. Outside of filming the series, he spun some business ideas past Lindsay, who was unimpressed by his concepts. Lindsay wanted her partner to be driven and successful, and Carl wasn’t at the stage she wanted him to be. However, breaking up with Lindsay gave him the courage to open up his first sober-inspired bar: Soft Bar + Cafe. Considering Lindsay shot down his idea for a sober bar during an episode of Summer House, Carl said at the Season 8 reunion that this is his "calling."

Lindsay Shared She’s Expecting

In July 2024, Lindsay announced via a sponsored Instagram post that she was expecting her first child with her new beau. “My boyfriend and I are beyond excited to welcome our little #HubbCub this Holiday season 2024!” Being pregnant hasn’t hindered Lindsay from filming Season 9. Lindsay signed on for Season 9 of Summer House where she filmed alongside her ex-fiance. Lindsay has defended her decision to continue on the series and is living in the moment. Considering how disastrous Season 8’s summer was, this could be Lindsay’s best summer yet.

Carl is Back With LoverBoy

Carl used to work in sales for Kyle Cooke's beverage line, Loverboy. Once he became sober, however, he took a step back, realizing working for an alcoholic brand was too challenging for him. When Carl became stronger in his sobriety and broke up with Lindsay, he rejoined the company on a part-time basis. He told Bravo he's a "LoverBoy advisor." He continued, "Basically, what I'm focused on is business development and bringing our non-alcoholic product to market." Since Lindsay was not supportive of his time at LoverBoy or his friendship with Kyle, he's able to pursue things he's passionate about yet again.

Carl became sober in 2021 after realizing he had an issue with drugs and alcohol after his brother died from an overdose.

With so many good happenings going on in Carl and Lindsay’s lives, calling off the engagement and moving on for good was the best thing for their personal lives.

Summer House Friends Saw Carl Radke And Lindsay Hubbard’s Red Flags

According to US Weekly, Carl and Lindsay were platonic until they went to Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s wedding. It was there they realized they had a crush on each other, and deeper feelings evolved from there.

Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard

Bravo fans were stunned that Carl and Lindsay were giving their relationship another go, but no one was more shocked than Lindsay’s best friend Danielle Olivera. In Season 7 of Summer House, Danielle expressed her concerns that the pair were moving too quickly. She felt Lindsay wasn’t acting like her true self and was making countless concessions to fit a sober mold for Carl. This caused a lot of tension between the friends.

It's called "egosurfing," and Summer House fans warned Carl to stay off the show's subreddit for his own mental health.

However, Danielle wasn’t alone. The other Summer House cast members felt they were mismatched and were too wrapped up in the honeymoon stage to see each other’s red flags.

One major red flag in their relationship was that Lindsay and Carl had different definitions of sobriety. While Lindsay felt sober meant abstaining from all alcohol and drugs, Carl dabbled with marijuana and mushrooms, as reported by Page Six. Unfortunately for Carl, he wasn’t ready for his castmates to know he entertained recreational drugs and Lindsay outed him publicly at the reunion. Embarrassed, Carl admitted he was now completely sober. Their castmates supported Carl’s journey — whatever that looked like — and were upset that Lindsay aired his dirty laundry publicly.

As a former public relations specialist, it frustrated Lindsay that Carl didn't have a successful career. Bravo TV reported that in one scene, Lindsay told Carl that he wasn't "crushing life." Not feeling supported, Carl questioned his next path.

Another red flag was that Lindsay and Carl couldn't be their true selves. According to E! Online, when Lindsay and Carl first started dating, she showed support by abstaining from alcohol for a brief time. The journey made them closer. However, once Lindsay started drinking again, their dynamic shifted. In Season 7, the cast agreed that Lindsay was hiding her true self to fit this mold for Carl. She became a different person when drinking or wanted to behave a certain way but held back because of Carl. In Season 8, her behavior while drinking was so bad that she questioned Carl’s sobriety and continuously asked him if he was “on something.” The accusation was a devastating blow for Carl.

From red flags to different ideas in partnership, Lindsay and Carl were not meant to be. Now apart, the two have never been better and are exactly where they're meant to be.
